Chief Operating Officer and Director of Music and Photography - Kim Harrison
Kim's roots lie in New York City, having grown up in Harlem and The Bronx. Her passion for dance led her to study at the Dance Theater of Harlem, where she was under the tutelage of the late Arthur Mitchell and Karel Shook. Ballet played a significant role in her life, but she also loves writing and photojournalism. Between 1987 and 1994, Kim co-owned and operated Club Myth, an underground dance club in upstate New York. She was DJ K-Star and the opening DJ for a series of HOUSE music events in various underground venues. Kim holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Sociology from Binghamton University and has been a member of The American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) for thirteen years. With her Deep House Records ® co-ownership, she co-manages the WDHR Radio Digital Broadcasting Network and serves as its Director of Music and Photography and the Music Programmer. Kim remains an integral part of the Deep House Records ® label and the DHR, Inc. brand, having been a driving force behind it. Her contribution to the online radio platforms, with her diverse musical styles and cultural flair, has been invaluable since she assumed the role in 2011.
