A writer, creative visionary, photojournalist, and documentary photographer, she brings a multidisciplinary approach that integrates narrative, visual storytelling, and structural insight across platforms.
Kim has been instrumental in advancing WDHR Radio Digital Broadcasting Network's technical capabilities, contributing to the development and implementation of Digital Broadcasting Radio Sound (DBRS) technology to enhance digital music broadcast quality and elevate the listener experience across the network's streaming platforms. As a principal architect of the operational and administrative framework supporting the WDHR enterprise, she has helped shape the strategic direction, internal structure, and scalable business systems that drive the organization's continued expansion across digital broadcasting, streaming media, advertising, publishing, and entertainment.
She also provides executive oversight for DHR Ad Agency, the organization's digital advertising and strategic marketing division, contributing to the development of integrated advertising solutions, digital brand campaigns, and media placement strategies for businesses seeking expanded visibility through modern broadcasting and digital media channels.
Kim is the Founder of SOVE-Reigns, LLC (Soaring One Vast Energy Reigns), an independent venture dedicated to her literary, philosophical, and creative works developed through years of writing, visual artistry, and original concepts. Her debut literary work, Veil of Truth: An Architecture of Illusion, marks the first published expression of her broader written body of work. Her forthcoming publication, Veil of Truth: In the Wake of Freddie Gray, presents a photographic documentary capturing the aftermath of the Baltimore uprising, reflecting the unrest, resilience, and social atmosphere surrounding one of the city’s most significant modern events.
Kim's creative foundation is rooted in a multigenerational legacy of cultural influence and artistic expression. From an early age, she studied ballet at the Dance Theatre of Harlem under the guidance of Arthur Mitchell and Karel Shook, developing the discipline, precision, and alignment that continue to shape her work. From 1987 to 1993, she co-owned the traveling house music venture Club Myth, performing as the opening DJ on Technics 1200 turntables and contributing to its presence in the Binghamton, New York music scene.
Her late father was an original member of The Main Ingredient, the acclaimed singing group that rose to prominence in the late 1960s, and was also an award-winning visual and mixed media artist, sculptor, and street improvisational artist whose work included murals displayed in MTA train stations and wood carvings depicting life in Harlem during his era. Her mother was a respected English teacher who began her career at Adlai E. Stevenson High School in the Bronx before later serving at the High School of Art and Business in Queens, where she taught, mentored, and hosted exchange students from Austria.
Kim is also part of the extended family lineage of late professional basketball players Reggie Carter (New York Knicks) and Larry Brown (Houston Rockets), reflecting a broader legacy of public accomplishment.
Her lineage reflects a strong foundation of community contribution through both grandmothers. One, a skilled beautician, relocated from Portsmouth, Virginia to New York City, establishing her life and work within the community. The other contributed to Harlem's historic music scene of the 1930s, recording and pressing approximately 3 singles on 45 vinyl and performing at the Apollo Theater, where she was invited to return for 3 consecutive appearances.
In 1947, her family experienced a tragic three-alarm fire on then-Seventh Avenue (now Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard) and 129th Street, an event that became part of both Harlem's history and her family's legacy. Her great-grandfather was a well-known chef on Lenox Avenue, known for his soul food and his renowned sweet potato pies.
With more than 35 years of executive and operational leadership experience, Kim's multidisciplinary background spans organizational management, regulatory compliance, policy implementation, systems development, program administration, executive governance, and strategic operations. Her public-sector leadership career established the disciplined operational framework that now informs her work in private enterprise and digital media.
Prior to her leadership in media and broadcasting, she held administrative and operational roles across Maryland and New York public agencies, specializing in large-scale program oversight, institutional reporting, compliance management, personnel supervision, and administration within highly regulated environments.
Recognized for her structured leadership approach, analytical systems thinking, and organizational discipline, Kim has been integral to building the infrastructure supporting WDHR's evolution into a multifaceted digital broadcasting and media enterprise. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Psychology from Binghamton University, completed graduate-level coursework in Public Health Administration, and maintains additional professional training in business communications and executive administration.
As a longtime ASCAP member, Kim continues to advance independent media, music programming, creative development, authorship, and global digital broadcasting through strategic leadership, operational excellence, and artistic vision.
