Kim is a multifaceted intuitive artist, entrepreneur, and survivor whose diverse passions and experiences have led her to excel in various fields, including dance, music, writing, photojournalism, and radio broadcasting. With roots in New York City, specifically Harlem and the Bronx, Kim's creative journey began as a photographer and with rigorous dance training at the prestigious Dance Theater of Harlem under the tutelage of Arthur Mitchell and Karel Shook. She later co-owned and operated Club Myth, an underground dance club in upstate New York, from 1987 to 1994, and performed as DJ K-Star, opening for various House music events in underground venues. Kim's accomplishments also include earning a bachelor's degree in psychology and sociology from Binghamton University, co-founding Deep House Records, and serving as Director of Music and Photography and Music Programmer for the WDHR Radio Digital Broadcasting Network. She is a government retiree and, as a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) for 16 years, Kim has released over 30 tracks of music, grown WDHR Radio's global audience to over 195 nations, and revolutionized digital music broadcasting by co-founding the innovative Digital Broadcasting Radio Sound (DBRS) technology. Through her remarkable achievements, Kim has solidified her position as a trailblazing force in the music and radio broadcasting industries, inspiring countless individuals with her resilience, creativity, and dedication to her crafts.
